The Enchanted Bushwalk Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National

for all ages taking just 20-minutes to complete the circuit.

The Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park is a world
heritage wilderness area located in Tasmania Australia where
you will find a large number of bushwalking tracks.
Dove Lake is at the start of the Overland
Track, when completing the walk from North to South. The Overland Track covers a total
distance of 65 kilometres through the Tasmanian Wilderness World
Heritage Area. considerable upgrades to the track have made the
walk easier, and with modern outdoor equipment the overall trip
is now much more comfortable than in years gone by. However,
the walk demands considerable preparation and reasonably good
physical fitness given on average it takes five nights and six
days complete the Overland Track
bushwalk.
Visitors staying at Cradle Mountain can enjoy the short Enchanted Walk along the Pencil
Pine River. At night time nocturnal animals, including the Tasmanian
devil and possums, come to your accommodation to be fed. Pademelons
and Bennet's wallabies ar also common in the area.
Bookings are required for people
walking the Overland Track during the period 1 November
to 30 April. During this period walkers are required
to walk the track from North to South (Cradle Mountain to Lake
St Clair), and pay the Overland
Track Fee.
