If you're looking for one of the most unique bushwalks on kunanyi / Mount Wellington, the Lost World Track is…

The Silver Falls Loop Bushwalk is one of the most accessible and rewarding short walks on kunanyi / Mount Wellington (Wellington Park), just 15 minutes from Hobart. Beginning at Fern Tree, this easy 2 km loop takes around 45 minutes to one hour to complete, winding through magnificent tree ferns, towering eucalypts and cool temperate rainforest before reaching the picturesque Silver Falls. The well-maintained track follows sections of the historic Pipeline Track and Fern Glade Track, making it suitable for most walkers, including families. The waterfall is at its most spectacular after rainfall, when water cascades over the rocky escarpment into the lush forest below. With its tranquil atmosphere, rich birdlife and beautiful rainforest scenery, the Silver Falls Loop is a perfect introduction to bushwalking on kunanyi / Mount Wellington and one of Hobart’s most popular short nature walks.
