A car park at the Northern end of Dove Lake is provided for people visiting for just the day. The boardwalk weaves a track through the rainforest and past quartzite beaches to the Ballroom forest and then on to the boat shed and back to the car park at the northern end. At the southern end of Dove Lake, you will enter a stunning cool temperate rainforest known as the Ballroom Forest. Here you will find ancient myrtle beech trees covered in moss towering high above a moss-covered forest floor. The effect is beautiful; and reminiscent of an ancient cathedral so make sure you pack a camera.
